Week of 17/8 to -01/9
NEW CAT RECORD OF 61LB
Specimen lake 1
Fishing far better than of late, much of the weed has been cleared and the rest is in the process of being cleared. Best fish out 25 lb but lots of mid to high doubles being taken from the stream side snags mainly to maize and pellet, fish also showing on the surface and surface baits to them will see them feeding fairly confidently. All in all a far better week than we have had for over a month now. Bank Holiday weekend fished slowly throughout considering the water temp drop from the previous week not so surprising, now the temps are on the increase again plenty of fish moving again and fishing has picked up considrably

Specimen lake 2
Has been quite slow throughout the bank holiday though did fish well before the cooler weather came in and is just atarting to fish again at the time of writing. The 2 roadside swims are again the swims producing the fish with the best out at 29lb 5oz as well as this fish, commons to 25lb have been taken and mirrors to 23lb. The cell boilies corn have done about the best though fishmeal pellet and boilie still producing.

Specimen lake 3
The cats seem to be getting there heads down again with some more large fish a 61lb fish was reported having been taken on meat from the stream side double this swim has also accounted for a 58lb a 49lb a 48lb and 2 at 47lb the others all fell to fish baits sardine and mackerel. The roadside has also seen cat action with a 49lb, 45lb and 4 others between 41lb and 44lb aas well as a 34lb fish from the finger again mainly to sardine but 1 to meat. The carp started last week on form but as the tempritures dropped so did the fishing culminating in a poor weekend though this week is starting off better with fish showing to 22lb again the 2 narrow legs holding the carp at the moment.

Coarse lakes
Still fishing well at present with lots of carp comming from all around best out now 24lb from coarse pool 3 keep the feed going in as they will go and find more food else where if you are not feeding often pellet very good at keeping them in a swim and very difficult to feed too much. luncheon meat, pellet, boilie, prawn and corn have all had good results and lots of fish comming from the surface on mixers and crust. Maggot and worm have been catching the carp also but as well lots of nice roach over 1lb and bream to 5lb odd big perch to over 3lb also. Coarse pool 2 is now seeing quite alot of cat action with fish to mid 20s mackeral doing about best but are comming to carp mathods also.
